MONSTER HUNTER WORLD: FINAL FANTASY 14 CROSSOVER DLC GETS A RELEASE DATE

Final Fantasy XIV's Behemoth will be added as a huntable monster to Monster Hunter World on August 1, 2018, and will bring with it craftable armor resembling Final Fantasy's Dragoons, new weapons, Moogles, Cactuar, and aetheryte crystals that are shown to enlarge monsters such as the Kulu-Ya-Ku.
Most importantly, however, may be a Behemoth skin for Poogie.
Announced at E3 2018 during Square Enix's presentation, this free update is the first part of the Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy XIV collaboration that will also see Monster Hunter World's Rathalos invade Final Fantasy XIV as a challenging battle that requires a "Full Party" of eight.

The trailer shows hunters fighting the Behemoth in the Wildspire Waste and Elder's Recess, and sees this massive monster using Final Fantasy magic spells such as Fire, Thunder and Meteor.
As mentioned previously, some of the hunters are wearing armor that represent Final Fantasy's Dragoons and one of the new weapons shown is an Insect Glaive that appears to be using a spirit of light as its Kinsect.
This update continues Monster Hunter World's trend of collaborating with other video game franchises that have seen Horizon Zero Dawn, Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Devil May Cry content also being added for limited-time events.
Capcom recently announced the release date for Monster Hunter World on PC and confirmed it can run in 4K at 60 fps. Pre-ordering Monster Hunter World on Steam gets you two exclusives: the Origin Armor Set and the Fair Wind Charm.
